The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has formally opened the 2025 application process.

Applications are now open and may close on fifteen December 2024.

*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding

To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant must fulfill the following requirements:

• Be a South African citizen or copyright who comes from a house which has a combined gross house income that does not exceed R350 000 per annum.

• Individuals with disabilities qualify if their combined household profits will not exceed R600 000 per annum.

• SASSA recipients instantly qualify for funding and need not post any evidence of income.

*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle

The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open to all South African citizens nsfas 2025 and permanent people from households with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for nsfas check each annum.

Applicants are reminded to deliver the correct Identification Doc numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.

NSFAS only funds individuals who are finding out or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.

All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges my nsfas should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.

Learners do not have to wait for matric results to apply for NSFAS. They should apply now and avoid delays in the processing of their application.
